Dr. Ononuju's belief is one of immense opportunity and transformation.
"Russia and Cuba were with us during our period of struggle for emancipation and independence from the Western countries. And that's why we can not forget Russia. So that's why when we now see Russia coming back to try to help us stop the sustained imperialist motives and behaviors of the French, we're happy. We receive it very well. This is a time when nobody denies that something that is sweet is sweet. No, Russia coming to help Africa, we appreciate very much. But Russia should now move to the next level. And that next level we think is Russia should come and give us that economic jolt that we seek," Dr. Ononuju said.
