Malian Army Repels Assault on Southern Camp, Dozens of Terrorists Neutralized
The operation was carried out successfully, resulting in the elimination of approximately 40 terrorists, Lieutenant Colonel El Mourani, commander of the 23rd regiment, said, as reported by the Africa Corps.
According to a separate statement from the Malian Armed Forces (FAMa), a group of terrorists involved in the attack on the camp in the city of San was located, pursued, and subsequently neutralized.
Other operations by the FAMa in 48 hours:
▪On Sunday, several gatherings attributed to the JNIM/FLA* terrorist coalition were neutralized near Abéibara (northeastern Mali), Raz El Ma (northern Mali), and northwest of Mahou (southern Mali). Armed vehicles, drones, and motorcycles belonging to the fighters were destroyed.
▪On Saturday, a group of terrorists, "hidden under vegetation cover," was detected northeast of Bambara-Maoudé. "The aerial vectors operating in the area successfully dealt with it," according to the statement.
* JNIM is ally of FLA terrorists and affiliated with international terrorist organization al-Qaeda.
