The program prioritizes the protection of children "through a preventive, protective and inclusive approach," the government emphasized in a statement.

The approach is centered on:

🟠human dignity;

🟠empowerment of family, community and institutional actors.

The strategy is accompanied by the 2026-2028 action plan for its implementation.

According to the data provided by media in 2025, child begging is a widespread problem in the Central Sahel, including Mali, where over 20,000 children are forced into it, with 43% being girls.
