Israeli artillery pounds southern Lebanon through the night

Israeli artillery strikes continued from midnight Friday until Saturday morning, hitting wooded areas and the Ali Tahir hills on the outskirts of Nabatieh al-Fawqa as well as other areas in southern Lebanon, with several houses reportedly damaged.

Israeli forces were also reported advancing toward the village of Zawtar al-Gharbiya. Israeli warplanes were meanwhile seen flying at low altitude over parts of southern Lebanon.
