Ghana Records First Inflation Decline Since March as Rate Falls From 5.3% to 4.6% in June-July: Gov't Statistician
"Whilst the year-on-year rate compares prices today with July last year, the month-on-month rate compares prices in July with June: it measures what shoppers actually met at the market in the past four weeks," Alhassan Iddrisu noted in a statement.
The inflation also slowed from 12.1% in July 2025, Iddrisu stated.
Lower inflation does not mean prices are falling; it only means they are rising more slowly, he explained.
