SA Hosts 'Women in Business & Leadership Conference' to Boost Economic Empowerment: Correspondent
In a keynote address, Minister for Women, Youth and People with Disabilities Sindisiwe Chikunga called for increased funding, government support, and tech accessibility to empower female entrepreneurs, while also honoring the historic leaders of the 1956 women's march, a Sputnik Africa correspondent reported.
Authorities must focus on creating opportunities for women by investing in education, skills development, entrepreneurship, and access to finance, Chikunga noted.
The event brought together government officials and business and academia leaders in Johannesburg to elaborate solutions to advance women's emancipation.
