Why Non-Alignment is Now More Crucial Than Ever, Tanzanian Expert Reflects
Stressing to Sputnik Africa the importance of following the non-aligned movement to protect national sovereignty and ensure that foreign policy decisions strictly serve a country's own interests, political analyst Ibrahim Chawe noted that—especially in today's highly interconnected world—the era of aligning with a single geopolitical bloc is over.
Building on that, Chawe emphasized that with the rise of BRICS, growing Russian-African ties, and China's expanding presence, a non-aligned approach now allows nations to freely cooperate with all global players. This way, they can avoid political entanglements while maximizing international economic opportunities.
