Tanzania Unveils 24 Measures to Achieve $1 Trillion Economy by 2050: Media
The commitments are grouped into three categories: eight government commitments, eight private sector commitments and eight joint actions.
The agreement provides a framework for:
▪ improving the investment environment;
▪ creating jobs;
▪ promoting industrialization;
▪ expanding exports;
▪ strengthening local businesses over the next 25 years.
While the private sector will shoulder about 70% of the implementation effort, the government is committed to maintaining macroeconomic stability and investing in infrastructure, President Samia Suluhu Hassan said.
