AU Praises Equatorial Guinea & Gabon for Signing Border Dispute Implementation Deal The AU Commission has hosted the signing of a Joint Engagement Agreement between Equatorial Guinea and Gabon on the implementation of the International Court of Justice Judgment of May 19, 2025, regarding their territorial dispute. The agreement was signed on the sidelines of the 49th AU Executive Council session in Addis Ababa. AU-facilitated talks between Presidents Obiang and Oligui paved the way for the agreement, with Special Envoy Albert Shingiro driving the engagement process."The Agreement signed today is much more than a legal instrument.
