Pregnant Gazans lose children in Israeli-wracked health system

Expectant women in the enclave are confronting a doubled risk of miscarriage or premature birth due to a collapsed healthcare system and harsh living conditions in refugee camps — where there is no clean water, no medicine, and infectious diseases are widespread.


"The soil in the Gaza Strip is now completely contaminated with remnants of munitions and explosive materials," Ahmed Al-Farra, head of the Pediatrics and Obstetrics Department at Nasser Medical Complex, tells Sputnik.



"They [Israel] don't consider us human beings," one displaced person said.
