Bank of Uganda Joins Charity Walk to Raise Money for Baby Care: Statement
Led by Governor Michael Atingi-Ego, the Bank of Uganda contributed $2652 at the 2026 Nsambya Babies Home Charity Walk, reaffirming its commitment to supporting vulnerable children and strengthening communities, the institution said on social media.
The annual initiative raises vital funds for:
🟠medical care, nutrition, and rehabilitation;
🟠family tracing, reunification, and adoption services;
🟠long-term quality care for children in the Nsambya Babies Home.
True economic growth is about improving lives, the Bank of Uganda noted, adding that investing in the health, protection, and development of these children is a direct investment in Uganda’s future entrepreneurs, leaders, and innovators.
