Ethiopian Artificial Intelligence Institute Graduates First Batch of AI Startup Trainees
Approximately 65 startups graduated from the institute following a six-month training program in various AI technology sectors, a Sputnik Africa correspondent reported.
The program enabled the trainees to translate their ideas into practical application, the institute's Director General, Worku Gachena, said, adding they presented tested, fully operational products ready for market expansion.
Deputy Prime Minister Temesgen Tiruneh praised the institute as a catalyst for positive change and national pride, describing the event as a historic milestone marking the graduation of the country's first AI trainees.
He also hailed the graduates as "technology ambassadors for Ethiopia."
Additionally, outstanding AI startups were recognized and awarded during the graduation ceremony.
