Credible Currency is Realistic: 'Zimbabwe Has Resources to Back It' — Expert Speaks on De-Dollarization

"Single digit inflation and financial sector stability" are fundamental for "a stable, productive Zimbabwean economy that sets its own monetary policy," Mandas Marikanda told Sputnik Africa.

Zimbabwe's experience, reinforced by BRICS, shows that "monetary independence must be matched with fiscal responsibility" of not printing money "without purchasing goods to match it," she said.

"ZiG must, and is going to be anchored in gold and real assets."
