In this Nnete Fela Show, Naazim Adam examines the Elders' warning that hopes for an independent Palestine are fading. Meanwhile, Gazan academic Professor Haidar Eid recounts displacement, the loss of colleagues and students, and the systematic destruction of Palestinian education.
The chairperson of the Palestine Solidarity Alliance, Naazim Adam, joins us to discuss a stark warning issued by The Elders, the international leaders group founded by Nelson Mandela. The Elders argue that the continued destruction of Palestinian institutions, settlement expansion, and the humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza are threatening the very possibility of Palestinian self-determination.While there is legitimate cause for concern, Adam does not believe that the situation has reached a point of no return. The point of no return, which has been reached, is the untenability of Zionism, which is compared to Nazism in this interview.Later in the show we speak to Professor Haidar Eid, a Gazan academic who spent the opening months of the war under bombardment, was displaced three times, and ultimately found refuge in South Africa.Drawing on personal experience and decades of scholarship, he explains the concept of "scholasticide" and why many scholars argue it has become a defining feature of the war in Gaza. The situation in Gaza is INSANE, Israel is a genocidal ethno-supremacist state which must be stopped on all fronts.Tune in to find out.► Listen to all episodes of the Nnete Fela Show.► Check out this podcast on your favorite platforms: Apple Podcasts | Castbox | Deezer | Spotify | Pocket Casts | Podcast Addict | Afripods

Spotlighting INSANITY of Israel's Genocide
12:41 23.07.2026 (Updated: 17:45 31.07.2026) In this Nnete Fela Show, Naazim Adam examines the Elders' warning that hopes for an independent Palestine are fading.
The Elders argue that the continued destruction of Palestinian institutions, settlement expansion, and the humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza are threatening the very possibility of Palestinian self-determination.
While there is legitimate cause for concern, Adam does not believe that the situation has reached a point of no return.
“In terms of a point of no return, I think that would be to give up on the struggle,” Naazim says.
The point of no return, which has been reached, is the untenability of Zionism, which is compared to Nazism in this interview.
“I think we’ve reached a point of no return in that we can no longer accept Zionism as an entity just as we did not accept Nazism or Apartheid […] it has to be dismantled,” Naazim continues.
Later in the show we speak to Professor Haidar Eid, a Gazan academic who spent the opening months of the war under bombardment, was displaced three times, and ultimately found refuge in South Africa.
Drawing on personal experience and decades of scholarship, he explains the concept of "scholasticide" and why many scholars argue it has become a defining feature of the war in Gaza.
The situation in Gaza is INSANE, Israel is a genocidal ethno-supremacist state which must be stopped on all fronts.
How should the international community confront Israel?
