'Exporting Raw Material Doesn't Make You Rich,' Says Ethiopian Economist

In the current complex situation, most goods entering Africa come from Western countries, creating dependency, Ethiopian Economists Association President Tassew Woldehanna told Sputnik Africa during the 23rd Ethiopian Economic Association Conference.

"We have to increase industrialization, and we have to substitute our imports. We have to start exporting manufactured goods to the world economy," he emphasized.
