"The commodification of misinformation is only getting more accelerated by the oligarchs… by big tech and AI," Hunter remarks.
From settler-colonial expansionism and the desperate survival tactics of the Netanyahu regime to the continent’s structural dependence that leaves it vulnerable to external shocks, Hunter insists African solutions cannot be separated from fixing local government failures and building real economic independence.
"Fight back against misinformation and disinformation. Do not be passive consumers of the fostering of hate and the incentivization of hate by big tech and social media companies," she urges young Africans in a direct call to action.
