Over 30 African Countries Confirm Participation in October Russia-Africa Summit: MFA"Considering there are 54 countries in Africa, this is quite a significant achievement. We still have time ahead. This process is ongoing. Every day, more and more countries are expressing their willingness to attend this summit," Director of the African Department of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Anatoliy Bashkin told Russian media.According to Bashkin, Moscow is also awaiting written confirmation from Chad that President Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno will attend. Both sides are interested in arranging a meeting between Déby and Russian President Vladimir Putin on the sidelines of the summit, he added.Countries that have confirmed their participation include: Mali, Madagascar, Uganda, Kenya, Egypt, Guinea-Bissau, Burundi and Sudan.The third Russia-Africa Summit will take place on October 28–29 in Moscow.Subscribe to @sputnik_africa Sputnik Africa | X
