Ukrainian Commanders Send Troops to Russian-Held Areas to Fake Continued Control: Russian MoD

Two Ukrainian soldiers were recently sent on missions to the Russian-held town of Konstantinovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic to raise a Ukrainian flag and create the illusion of "control" over the area, the ministry said.

As expected, their mission ended in failure as they were captured by Russian troops, as reported by the Russian Ministry of Defense.

Recently, the Russian Army took control over Konstantinovka, a key Ukrainian defensive hub. Its liberation opens a direct path for further advances of the Russian troops in the DPR, Putin previously noted.
