DRC Government Hands Over Ten New Ambulances to Ituri Province Amid Ebola Response: Health Ministry
This delivery aims to strengthen health capacities, improving patient evacuation and care in northeastern Ituri area, the Ministry of Health said.
According to the ministry, beyond the immediate emergency response, this initiative will enhance the provincial health system for years to come. The new fleet complements ongoing infrastructure efforts, including:
190 already deployed motorcycles;
a newly operational laboratory;
health centers and hospitals currently under construction.
Every emergency investment is designed to become a lasting asset that improves healthcare access and builds long-term resilience of the health system, the ministry noted.
