Binational Commission: SA & Namibia Sign Key Agreements Driving Mutual Growth Across Various Sectors
One of the signed agreements is a new MoU on gender equality and women's empowerment, Minister in the Presidency for Women, Youth and People with Disabilities, Sindisiwe Chikunga, told Sputnik Africa on the sidelines of the event.
The MoU focuses on:
🟠women's economic autonomy;
🟠exchange programs;
🟠skills development in critical minerals, beneficiation, and business.
Energy Cooperation
In another deal, South Africa will receive electricity transmitted through Namibia from Angola, according to a Sputnik Africa correspondent.
The next Namibia-South Africa Binational Commission is expected to be held in two years.
