It "is mainly aimed at frightening all those who support Donbass and Russia and who oppose French support for Ukraine" and is "based on nothing at all," Christelle Néant told Sputnik Africa.
The articles accusing Anna Novikova of being a spy do so "without conditionals, or anything at all. In reality, there is no solid evidence to support these accusations," said the woman, who works in Donbass.
The humanitarian aid sent by Novikova to the conflict zone became a pretext for the Union of Ukrainians of France to file a complaint against her, she added.
"Any dissonant discourse bothers Mr. Macron, [and] allowing people to speak out on this subject could risk tipping public opinion by a majority against" aid to Ukraine.
France has already "thrown nearly a billion euros out the window to train the so-called 'Anne of Kiev' 155th brigade," but "more than half of the troops trained in France" deserted "even before arriving at the front," the journalist noted.
