Russian Volunteers to Expand Several Humanitarian Projects in Mali: Media
Russian volunteers will launch medical, language and vocational projects in Mali, Head of the "Good.RF" association's work with partner countries Artem Vlasko said after a visit to the country.
▫ The 2–3 week medical mission to Bamako and its suburbs aims to provide 500 consultations and diagnostics while training 20 local specialists, and will require a team of the following specialists:
▪ dentists;
▪ gynecologists;
▪ pediatricians;
▪ ophthalmologists;
▪ dermatologists;
▪ endocrinologists.
The volunteers also plan to expand Russian language courses in several schools, with about 100 children expected to participate regularly and five teachers to lead the program.
Another initiative is opening vocational workshops for teenagers, where about 50 people will learn:
▪ electronics;
▪ auto mechanics;
▪ mobile phone repair;
▪ AC and heating system maintenance.
