Russia, Tunisia to Strengthen Cooperation for Africa's Stability, Says Lavrov
In a congratulatory telegram to Tunisian counterpart Mohamed Ali Nafti on the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries, the Russian FM has emphasized shared interests in security and stability across the region.
"I am confident that Russian-Tunisian interaction will continue to successfully strengthen for the benefit of the peoples of the two countries and in the interests of ensuring stability and security in Africa and the Mediterranean," Lavrov said.
Ties between Moscow and Tunisia have a long history, built on traditions of friendship and mutual respect, he noted, adding over the decades both sides have accumulated rich experience in multifaceted bilateral cooperation, which continues to develop progressively.
