Applications are now open for the International Literary Contest "Russian Glagol." This large-scale project aims to unite Russian-speaking writers, poets, playwrights, and translators from different countries.
The contest is held with the support of the Russian Foreign Ministry, the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives, the Union of Russian Writers, the United Russia party, the Russian World Foundation, and the Union of Theatre Workers of Russia.
Authors permanently residing outside the Russian Federation can participate: both Russian citizens and foreign nationals who write in Russian.
The contest program features seven categories, each divided into two age groups — "Master" (over 35) and "Young Author" (18 to 35):
Prose;
Poetry;
Children's literature;
Playwriting;
Literary criticism;
Translation;
A special category from the "Historical Memory" federal project of the United Russia party — for authors aged 23 to 35 writing about World War II.
Winners will receive prizes and opportunities for professional growth, including publications in magazines, media coverage, and the chance to publish their own book.
