BRICS Nations Unite for Women-Led Development
Member countries of the association have unanimously adopted a joint statement on women's issues following the BRICS Women Ministerial Meeting*, Women and Child Development Minister Annpurna Devi said.
The countries also reached agreement on two key areas:
▪ exchanging best practices in women's empowerment;
▪ promoting women's digital integration and building their capacity for professional skills development.
*The BRICS Women Ministerial Meeting was held under India's chairmanship in Kochi on Wednesday and Thursday.
