US & Israel Secretly Build Military Base in Somaliland: Reports
Satellite images show major excavation work at three locations near Berbera Airport in Somalia's breakaway region between October 2025 and March, with funding reportedly provided by the UAE, according to media.
At least 18 trenches were reportedly dug, appearing consistent with ammunition storage or fuel tanks, the reports said.
As of now, no official statement has been made by Somaliland, the UAE, the US, or Israel regarding the reports.
The construction follows Israel's recognition of Somaliland's independence, aimed at establishing a forward position near the Gulf of Aden and Yemen's coast.
