Burkina Faso Opens Technological Academy to Train Industrial Innovators
Deemed “highly strategic,” the institution will be attached directly to the presidency of Burkina Faso, following a decree adopted by the Council of Ministers, the presidency announced.
Burkina Faso aims to train not only theoreticians, but also people who can “use their intelligence and their fingers” to support the country’s ongoing industrialization drive, according to the government.
Construction of the infrastructure, launched in December 2025, is now in its final phase.
Several strategic fields will be offered, including:
▪ metallurgy;
▪ nuclear technology;
▪ aeronautics;
▪ cybersecurity;
▪ mining-related professions.
