ECOWAS Unveils 'Eye of Africa' Abuja HQ as Nigeria Urges Deeper Integration, Industrialization: State House
The new headquarters features:
▪ modern office blocks;
▪ 800-seat conference center;
▪ meeting rooms with interpretation systems;
▪ gymnasium;
▪ exhibition spaces.
Commenting on the announcement, VP Kashim Shettima, representing President Tinubu, noted that ECOWAS is one of the world's most respected regional bodies, with progress in peace, cooperation, and free movement.
“Regional integration can no longer be an economic imperative alone. It has become a comprehensive framework for our collective security, our political stability, our sustainable development, and the welfare of our peoples,” he said.
