Seychelles & Russia Mark 50 Years of Ties With New Cooperation in Tourism, Space & Sports
Seychelles’ President Patrick Herminie welcomed upcoming open of the country's embassy in Moscow and Russian participation in National Day.
Russia's support since Soviet times and its renewed commitment to tourism, maritime space tech and sports cooperation were reaffirmed.
Putin's greetings were conveyed by his envoy Maksim Oreshkin, who also announced the opening of Russia's market to Seychelles fish exports.
Oreshkin also commended Herminie's decision to join the Russia–Africa Forum in October.
Furthermore, Acting Commander of the Moscow Military District Igor Seritsky met Seychelles' president to discuss cooperation and thanked him for the invitation to the National Day parade.
ℹ President Herminie was the first Seychelles President to visit Russia earlier this year in April.
