Russia & Rwanda Ink Small Modular Reactors Development Plan: Rosatom
Rosatom and Rwanda held their first Joint Coordinating Committee meeting in Moscow, transitioning from framework agreements to concrete action, the Russian corporation said.
During the talks, the parties reviewed progress of cooperation in the sector, including:
🟠Rwanda's nuclear power program;
🟠Establishment of a Center for Nuclear Science and Technology;
🟠Human capacity development;
The meeting concluded with the signing of a protocol for the construction of SMR-based nuclear power plants in Rwanda, according to Rosatom's statement.
