Zimbabwe & Belarus to Build Veterinary Vaccine Manufacturing Hub: State Media
The proposed $50 million partnership between BelAgroGen and Zimbabwe's Directorate of Veterinary Services includes:
▪ local processing;
▪ joint plant;
▪ skills development;
▪ scholarships for Zimbabwean students.
"This is about Zimbabwe taking the lead in protecting the region’s livestock. We are talking about building something that serves all of Southern Africa — and building it here," BelAgroGen VP Andrei Molchan was quoted as saying.
The project aims to reduce:
▪ import dependence;
▪ control transboundary animal diseases;
▪ support industrialization.
