Ancient Settlement With Tombs & Homes Discovered in Egypt’s East Nile Delta: Ministry
Excavations in Ismailia uncovered artifacts such as jars, bronze utensils, alabaster vessels and pottery, along with skeletons aged 25–40 showing varied burial practices, the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities reported.
The discovery also includes:
🟠ten mud-brick graves;
🟠a 30×60m residential complex;
🟠ovens, storage facilities, and production areas.
Tourism Minister Sharif Fathi praised archaeological missions for uncovering more of ancient Egypt’s history, adding that the findings offer a clearer view of eastern Nile Delta settlement patterns.
