India, Seychelles to deepen partnership for a secure Indian Ocean: Modi

Marked Seychelles' 50th Independence anniversary and 50 years of India-Seychelles diplomatic relations.
Discussed expanding cooperation in industries, connectivity, technology, digital infrastructure, housing, healthcare, transport, education, food security, skilling and defense.
Reaffirmed commitment to a safer, more secure and prosperous Indian Ocean region.
Said India envisions "an Ocean of Opportunity" built on mutual respect, trust and shared responsibility.
Highlighted Seychelles' achievements in the Blue Economy and sustainability.
Reiterated India's support for the concerns of Small Island Developing States.
Emphasized India's commitment to working with the youth of Seychelles across diverse sectors.
Stressed that "Those who have contributed the least to climate change should not bear the greatest burden of its consequences."
