Ethiopia's Coffee Training Center Becomes East Africa's Hub of Excellence: Coffee & Tea Authority
The facility is East Africa's only coffee training center of its kind that prepares skilled professionals for the region, bridging the human resource gap, Sefisa Ababu, head Director General's Office at the Ethiopian Coffee and Tea Authority, said.
At least 13 coffee quality testing centers are now operating nationwide, he noted at the second Ethiopia Coffee and Food Trade Fair as reported by a Sputnik Africa correspondent.
Ethiopia earned over $2.6 billion from coffee exports last fiscal year, with efforts underway to reach $3 billion by the end of the current year, the official noted.
