AfDB Approves $9 Million Grant to Deepen Financial Integration in East & Horn of Africa
This project will reinforce the regulatory and infrastructure frameworks needed to unlock domestic capital, deepen regional markets, and enhance economic resilience, according to the AfDB statement.
The funding will support the East Africa and Horn of Africa Capital Markets and Payment Systems Integration Project.
The East African Community will implement the project in nine countries:
Burundi;
the Democratic Republic of Congo;
Ethiopia;
Kenya;
Rwanda;
Somalia;
South Sudan;
Tanzania;
Uganda.
