AES Reportedly Prepares Strategy for Dialogue With ECOWAS on Major International Issues
To this end, a workshop has opened in Ouagadougou, bringing together experts, diplomats and senior officials from the three AES countries, according to Burkinabé media.
The two-day discussions will reportedly focus on drafting a strategic framework document in preparation for future consultations with regional bloc.
The experts will work to define a common position on the following major issues:
🟠regional integration;
🟠the free movement of people and goods;
🟠economic cooperation;
🟠regional security.
The AES confederation "is today the embodiment of an African political renaissance based on solidarity, collective responsibility, and the defense of our peoples’ interests," said Hermann Yirigouin Toé, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Burkina Faso, at the opening of the meeting.
