New Tourism Policy Creates Broad Opportunities to Enrich Attractions and Destinations: Ministry of Tourism
The fourth photography exhibition, organized by Ethiopian tourist guides under the theme "Ethiopia Through the Eyes of Tour Guides," has officially opened at the Addis Ababa Museum.
In his address at the event, State Minister of Tourism Sileshi Girma noted that the new tourism policy, approved by the Council of Ministers months ago, goes beyond further promoting existing cultural and historical heritage; it also provides significant support for building the capacity of sector stakeholders and increasing tourism revenue.
Highlighting that the role of photography in promoting a country's tourist destinations remains timeless even in the digital age, the State Minister urged sector professionals to make extensive use of contemporary social media platforms.
A Sputnik Africa journalist reported that 72 outstanding photographs, captured by 19 tourist guides and selected through a competition, are currently on display.
