ICC Chief Prosecutor Khan Faces Vote on Possible Removal Over Sexual Assault Allegations: Media
The International Criminal Court is set to hold a special session on July 24 to decide whether to permanently remove chief prosecutor Karim Khan, according to media reports.
The court’s oversight body reportedly found sufficient evidence of serious misconduct. Khan has strongly denied all allegations, with his lawyers calling the report “deeply flawed” and “unlawful.”
The first accusations against Khan emerged in 2024, weeks before he sought arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over the Gaza conflict. He has been suspended from duty since June 8, 2026.
