Russia & Kenya Forge Anti-Crime Partnership & Prosecutorial Cooperation
During the meeting between Russia's Prosecutor General Aleksandr Gutsan and Kenya's Director of Public Prosecutions Renson Mulele Ingonga, the two sides signed a memorandum on crime fighting and human rights protection, focusing on:
▪ combating transnational crime;
▪ asset recovery;
The Asset Recovery Inter-Agency Network for Eastern Africa, where Russia holds observer status, is a useful tool, Gutsan noted.
The two sides also discussed expanding cooperation through the Russia–Africa Summit framework and training programs at Russia's University of the Prosecutor General's Office.
