US Will Bomb Iran Friday Night If Tehran Does Not Accept Deal, Trump Says

Trump also told US media that Iranian officials had called him and asked him to stop the bombings. Iran’s state television, citing a senior source, said no one had contacted Trump.
During the night of June 10–11:
▪The US launched strikes against Iran at 21:15 GMT on Trump’s orders, the US Central Command said. Explosions were reported in several cities in southern Iran, according to local media;
▪Iranian and US forces clashed in the Persian Gulf. Explosions were reported on the islands of Qeshm and Hengam, local media said;
▪Tehran closed the Strait of Hormuz to oil tankers and commercial vessels because of the US attacks;
▪ Iran struck 18 targets, including US bases in the region and the US Fifth Fleet in Bahrain, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said.
