Ugandan Woman Circles a Tree for 100 Hours to Champion Forest Preservation: Reports

Faith Ariokot's goal in this continuous demonstration was reportedly to draw attention to the need to:

▪plant trees;

▪preserve forests;

▪protect biodiversity.

"As a human being, I have my limits, but I knew I was fighting for something greater than myself," local media quoted Ariokot as saying.

According to the press, the ongoing action could break a Guinness World Record, and organizers are expected to confirm the outcome.
