Major Sub-Regional Hub Could Emerge in Cameroon: Expert
The Kribi hydrocarbon terminal project, recently approved by the Cameroonian president, will "significantly contribute to the security of supply" for the country, Cameroonian economist Yamb Ntimba told Sputnik Africa.
It will also facilitate energy supply to the Central African Republic and, to some extent, to Chad, he noted.
The terminal will thus be an "extremely valuable investment," the expert emphasized.
Earlier, Cameroonian officials and their sub-regional partners urged to improve transport infrastructure and integrate commercial systems to boost the CEMAC region's critically low intra-community trade.
