Ethiopia’s Council of Ministers Inspects Next-Generation Housing Site Using 3D Printing and Prefab Tech
The inspected housing construction site utilizes cutting-edge, fast-build technologies, PM Abiy Ahmed announced following a council of ministers' meeting.
Three advanced methods are being applied in combination, including:
🟠3D printing
🟠Pre‑fabricated light steel construction
🟠Container homes
The projects demonstrate that when the right technology is used, speed and quality are not contradictory, according to the PM.
“Premium-quality homes can be delivered in a matter of days and weeks, rather than months and years,” he said.
This type of advanced innovation can be easily applied, replicated, and scaled across any part of the country and has the power to dramatically transform Ethiopia’s housing development program, the prime minister added.
