Russian Companies Ready to Produce Vaccines in Tanzania: MFA

Major Russian pharmaceutical enterprises can produce up to 20 million doses of vaccines in collaboration with Tanzania over the next five years, John Ulanga, Director of International Trade and Economic Diplomacy at the country's MFA, told media.

The vaccines developed in partnership with Russia will be distributed for both local use and in other regional markets, he noted without specifying the particular diseases for which these vaccines will be intended.

In addition to healthcare, other key sectors of Russian-Tanzanian cooperation will encompass energy and the extraction of critical elements such as uranium and nickel, according to the diplomat.

Moreover, Russian companies are interested in exploring and developing oil and gas fields in Tanzania, he noted.
