Egypt Launches First Phase of Major Industrial Complex in New Borg El‑Arab: Government
The first phase of the El-Gharably Industrial Complex, inaugurated by PM Mostafa Madbouly, spans 315,000 square meters with an annual production capacity exceeding 100,000 tonnes, the government announced.
The facility, which currently employs around 3,000 workers, with plans to expand to 5,000 jobs, includes:
🟠a steel structures factory;
🟠Egypt’s largest maintenance and engine overhaul workshops;
🟠an industrial and medical gas plant.
The complex will support national projects, while helping localize advanced industries through international partnerships, according to the government.
Future expansion plans include:
🟠manufacturing railway wagons;
🟠agricultural machinery;
🟠welded pipes;
🟠marine fenders.
