In this episode of Eye of the Storm, we sit down with youth activist and political commentator Mukhethwa Dzhugudzha, widely known as the "Voice of South Africa", to dissect the complex intersection of xenophobia and systemic inequality, in South Africa and the future of Pan-African solidarity.
As South Africans navigate an era defined by economic anxiety, mass unemployment, and political instability, anti-immigrant rhetoric has become a convenient distraction from the structural failures of our institutions.

Mukhethwa offers a blunt, uncompromising look at why misdirecting our frustration toward fellow Africans is not just a moral failure, but a strategic one that weakens the continent’s potential for true economic sovereignty.

"If all this organization, all this mobilization was used to fight the root cause, I feel like we would make far more progress. But now because we are going after things which are not really going to make an impact... our energy is being wasted on solving the wrong problem," Mukhethwa remarks.

Watch this episode of Eye of the Storm with Pieter Kriel to understand why the youth are the most critical, untapped force for real change, and why we must move from passive observation to strategic mobilization.
