'We Must Improve Connectivity' With Russia, Tanzanian Official Says

"From a Tanzanian tourism point of view, we welcome international travelers, including Russian travelers, to come and enjoy a seamless experience in our country," Ephraim Balozi Mafuru, Director General of the Tanzania Tourist Board, told Sputnik Africa on the sidelines of #SPIEF2026.
Tanzania welcomes Russian travelers to pay "with the foreign currency they are able to pay," he added.
A "direct flight from Moscow to Dar es Salaam" will improve the number of tourists, the business community, and investors coming to Tanzania and vice versa, he pointed out.
Tanzania will continue "ensuring our two countries work together to improve business, improve investment, and improve the tourism industry."
