Russian FSB Busts Foreign Intelligence Malware Operation Targeting Top Officials
Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB) has uncovered a foreign intelligence operation that used malicious software to infiltrate smartphones belonging to high-ranking Russian officials, the service announced.
The malware was designed to:
▪extract data;
▪eavesdrop on conversations;
▪covertly monitor the situation.
The FSB has opened a criminal case for illegal access to computer information and the distribution of malicious software.
