Bola Tinubu Unveils Nigeria’s Largest Single-Day Health Investment: Presidency
The president has commissioned a sweeping package of health sector projects across all six geopolitical zones, marking the largest federal health investment in the country’s history, the presidency announced.
The package includes:
🟠Specialist complex – New Bola Tinubu Specialist Complex at Federal Medical Center in Abuja, featuring VIP wards, twin theaters, and dedicated ENT and ophthalmology units.
🟠Emergency ambulance fleet – 79 CNG‑powered ambulances for federal tertiary facilities, plus 145 tricycle ambulances and six boat ambulances to serve riverine and hard‑to‑reach communities.
🟠Primary health centers – Nearly 3,000 primary health centers revitalized in two years.
🟠Tertiary projects – Mental health center in Maiduguri, fertility center in Bauchi, laboratory complex in Uyo, and pharmacy quality control lab in Zaria.
“We are determined to give Nigerians the care that, for too long, only those who could travel abroad enjoyed,” Tinubu said.
