General Elections in Ethiopia: Party That Wins Must Alleviate Cost of Living & Ensure Peace—Ethiopian Airlines Pilot
"The party that will govern me, the one that is elected and wins, has been given a great responsibility. [...] Everyone choosing what they want means they want change," Zerihun Melese told Sputnik Africa, noting that he participated in all previous national elections.
Key observations from Sputnik Africa's visit to one of the election districts:
🟠Priority is being given to the elderly, mothers, health professionals, and those on special assignments, including Ethiopian Airlines pilots;
🟠The election has proceeded peacefully in most areas, with voters requesting that the process be expedited;
🟠At some polling stations, voters are waiting in long queues.
🟠Polling station coordinators and observers were present at all stations on time.
